Chris Byrne is a recognised authority in the field of technical textiles and applications of advanced technologies to the fibre and textile industries. He has worked for over 30 years in textile research and development as well as with a leading international company of textile strategy and marketing consultants. Clients have included a wide range of manufacturing companies, investment institutions, R&D organisations and government agencies, in the UK and worldwide. A past Chairman of the Textile Institute's Technical Textiles Group and Member of the Scientific Committee of the Techtextil Symposium, he has written and lectured extensively on technology-related subjects ranging from technical fibres and textiles to advanced colouration, printing and clothing technologies as well as biotechnology applications to the textile industry. |
